More than 1,000 growers and industry leaders attended the seventh annual Jalisco Avocado Congress in Ciudad Guzman, Mexico, in late August, and Grupo Los Cerritos received, once more, an award for its sustainability efforts.
Its president, Saul Medina, valued the recognition given and comment "My vision has been to be a little different from the industry, to adopt sustainability as a culture towards the organization and society. Try to be balanced, with natural resources management and be fair to people. Sustainability is an integral issue, the vision of Grupo Los Cerritos is that sustainability is at balance with the environment, forestry, water optimization and with respect toward collaborators."
